Hi, I'm Marissa,

     I am a watercolor artist and illustrator, weaving together worlds of color, wonder, and small delights. Through illustrated maps, children’s art, house portraits, birds, gardens, and the whimsical lands of my imagined Tiny World, I invite viewers on adventures both near and far.

I can often be found outside in the sunshine, chasing clouds, picking wildflowers and watching the birds with my dog Nori, and my turtle Toby.  Nature and the small, often overlooked corners of life inspire me.

My work celebrates these quiet marvels with a playful, childlike spirit and a palette full of bright, joyful color.  Escape to a simpler bit of whimsy, get lost in your childhood world.

Always in search of the tiny details both within us and around us that define "Home." Whether traveling across a hand-drawn map, visiting a cozy house on Flora Lane, or exploring the magical corners of Tiny World and its cheerful travel agency, I hope to awaken a sense of wonder and the joyful adventure that exists in everyday life.
